Jeremiah 26:1-9; Psalm 69:5,8-10,14, John 11:19-27

in His great love
our prayers
are answered
constantly
sending
guidance
through
the Holy Spirit
prophets
and priest
saved
from death
zeal for His house
consumes us
as we spread
the good news
of God’s love

Do you hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, prophets and priests?
Does zeal for His house consume you?

Jeremiah 18:1-6; Psalm 146: 1-2,3-4,5-6; Matthew 13:47-53

in your hands
we are clay
fashioned
by a Will
and Spirit
for good
putting not
our trust
in princes
and men
for salvation
in the Presence
we have come
to know
as our Creator
and Savior

How do you experience your creator?
How do you experience being clay in the potter’s hands?
Is this counter-cultural?

Jeremiah 15:10,16=21; Psalm 59:2-18; Matthew 13:4-46

this pearl
of great price
demanding all
this kingdom
of heaven
we sell all
we have
for it
and offer
our repentance
to a mercy
beyond
our means
bringing forth
what is precious
from the mouth
of God

Do you give all for the kingdom of heaven?
Do you bring forth what is precious?

Jeremiah 14:17-22; Psalm 79: 8-13; Matthew 13:36-43

you plant
your seed
within us
your Word
that gives
Life
we tend
its soil
with love
and compassion
yielding
its weeds
to you
for rooting up
and pruning
then offering
first fruits
to the Light
of your Glory

Who tends to your heart?

2Cor 4:7-15; Psalm 126:1-6; Matthew 20:29-28

a treasure
held
in earthen vessels
though death
is at work
in us
we hold
Life
the Spirit of Truth
of Goodness
lasting beyond
any affliction
constraint
or despair
we are like ones
dreaming
our mouths
full of laughter
what was sown
in tears
is reaped in rejoicing
as we behold
God’s Presence
with us

Are you filled with rejoicing in the presence of God?

Genesis 18:20-32; Psalm 138; Col 2:12-14; Luke 11:1-13

we learn
to pray
in Him
our Father
to bring
His will
to earth
as it resides
in heaven
our daily bread
given
we see all
our need
fulfilled
in Him
and we forgive
knowing
when we ask
we shall
receive what we need
when we ask for help
we are answered
with mercy
so great
we are saved
from evil
and from ourselves
as all
that stands
between us
is cast away
nailed to a cross
and we are risen
to new life
in God

Do you receive your daily bread?
Do you forgive as you are forgiven

Jeremiah 7:1-11; Psalm 84:3-11; Matthew 13:24-30

our heart
and soul
cry out
for the dwelling place
in God
that gives us
our strength
to live
and shelter
the needs
of others
living
among
the weeds
and wheat
we pray
to not be uprooted
that what is good
in us
may flourish
in its due time

What is it to live among the weeds and the wheat?

Jeremiah 2:1-3,7-8,12-13; Psalm 36; Matthew 13:10-17

in your light
we see
light
the place
of mercy
the place
of justice
the place
of love
source
of the living waters
we enter
a garden
full of the hope
in faithfulness
to your word
nourishing us
with
daily bread

By what light do you see?

Jeremiah 1:1, 4-10; Psalm 71; Matthe 13:1-9

the sower
comes
with word seeds
scattered
in our heart
some bird comes
to steal
some sun
to scorch
some thorns
to choke
yet some
find their way
into the rich soil
where they set
deep root
and grow
into
the tree of Life
bearing
great fruit

Have you opened your heart to God’s word seeds?
Where do they take root?

Micah 7:14-15, 18-20; Psalm 85; Matthew 12:46-50

we enter
a family
of God
united
in love
mercy
and kindness
guided
by the Holy Spirit
all is forgiven
as we embrace
heaven
now

Can you imagine it?
