Ephesians 2:1-1-; Psalm 100:1-5; Luke 12:13-21

turning
our lives
from greed
possession
and impulse
we become
rich in what matters
to God
from a grace
given freely
an immeasurable
kindness
and mercy
that flows
through our work
day by day
as we love
and provide
what each moment
needs
not giving in
to what divides us
but what unites us
in love

What matters to God?
Do you accept the grace given freely?

Is 53: 10-11; PS 33:4-5,18-20, 22; Heb 4:14-16; MK 10:35-45

you who know us
who knows our hearts
and minds
our weakness
our suffering
you who have lived and walked
with us
bring us mercy
meeting place of God
and humanity
grace comes
in our sufferings
as we hunger
in famine
and wages of war
in the face of death
our soul is waiting
for your help
your shield
a light seen
we put our hope
our trust
in you
who loves justice
and right
immersed in the waters
of you
we seek to share
and to serve all
with this love
we have come
to know
in you

Do we see our affliction as a moment of grace?
Do we put all our hope and trust in God?
Do we serve with the love we have found?

Ephesians 1:15-23; Psalm 8:2-7; Luke 12:8-12

void
of the Holy Spirit
provider
of forgiveness
we are left
helpless
in our anger
resentments
and ignorance
disregarding
Truth
even as we behold
the moon
and stars
the eyes
of our heart
are blinded
to wisdom
and love

What revelation will bring the dawn of God’s love to our mind and heart?

Luke 12: 1-7

in times
of trouble
we turn
to you
oh Lord
confessing
faults
and conflicts
bringing
to light
all that burdens
our soul
all for your
healing
touch
that we may not
remain
estranged
from your love

Where do you turn in times of trouble?

Luke 10: 1-12

sent out
with nothing
but the love
and peace
of God
whose precepts
are perfect
trustworthy
right
enlightening
and clear
although lambs
among wolves
with no money
no sack
no sandals
we have all
we need
for the harvest
we labor
rejoicing
in the Lord
who is our strength

What do you need for your journey?
What are the things you carry?

Gal:5:18-25; Psalm 1:1-6; Luke 11:42-46

there is no law
when guided by Spirit
whose fruits are
love
joy
peace
patience
kindness
generosity
faithfulness
and self-control
guided away
from hateful
destructive
passions
we are like
a tree
planted
near running water
yielding
our fruit
in due season
turning toward
His Light

Do you live in the freedom of the Holy Spirit?

1Gal 5:1-6; Psalm 119:41-48; Luke 11:37-41

meditating
on God’s law
and commands
the light
of mercy
shines through
we give alms
from a heart
set free
by a faith
working
through love
and experience
God’s living
word
acting
upon the world

How are you set free by God’s word?

Gal 4:22-27, 31-5:1; Psalm 113:1-7; Luke 11:29-32

insecure
in our faith
we demand
a sign
turning
ourselves
into slaves
rejecting
the wisdom
of repentance
and the sign of Jonah
condemning
ourselves
to judgment
until we hear
God’s voice
of freedom
singing
in our soul

What sign do you demand?
What voice do you hear?
What voice do you follow?

Wisdom 7:7-11; Psalm 90:12-17; Hebrews 4:12-13; Mark 10:17-30

what treasure
do we have
but God’s love
when all else fails
God’s wisdom comes
to our hearts
filled at daybreak
our soul
sings for joy
our one true God
our only Good
where all is possible
and known
cutting through
the deceptions
of our life
penetrating
the soul of us
forming the truth
free of hatred
and murder
unfaithfulness
and jealousy
we sell all
and give our lives
to this new life given us
we understand
and cherish
the promise
of God’s love

What is your treasure?
What is your joy?

Gal:31:22-29; Psalm 105:2-7; Luke 11:27-28

hearing
God’s word
we observe it
and act on it
in our lives
rejoicing
in our faith
in the One
who call all
to return
to their Oneness
in God
Holy Spirit
that sees All
as loved
even in our differences
welcoming
and promising
a home
for our heart

Do you feel the embrace of God’s oneness?
