Isaiah 6:1-8; Ps 138: 1-8; 1Cor 15: 1-11; Luke 5: 1-11

we are struck
with awe
by who
you are
and who we are
created
in you
we feel
the smallness
of our being
our undeserving
nature
yet
you call
and lift us
to you

hot ember
on our unclean lips
angel of God
you free
our mouth
for words
of love
you ask
“who shall I send?”
risen
in your love
no longer afraid
we say
“Here I am.
I shall go”

Have you felt the hot ember of God upon your lips?
The awe of God’s presence?
The peace God brings?

Hebrews 13: 15-21; Psalm 23: 1-6; Mark 6:30-34

you came
with Compassion
and saw
our need
drawing us
into your rest
you taught
us God’s will
for Love
author
of Goodness
we follow
and share
the Goodness
that we
have been given
praising
your name
for showing us
the way
to Love

Who do you follow?
How do you share?

Hebrews 13: 1-8; Psalm 27: 1-9; Mark 6: 14-29

we wake
in your
Presence
Lord
and know
you are
our helper
we will
not be afraid
for you
will never
forsake
or abandon us
what
can anyone do
to us
with you
by our side?

Do you awake to His Presence?
Do you experience God as your Light and Salvation?

Hebrews 12:18:24; Psalm 48: 2-11; Mark 6:7-13

sent out
two by two
no money
no food
only
their Faith
and a walking stick
they lived
on the kindness
of strangers
who opened
their hearts
and homes
to Good News
seeing
a new way
to live
not in fear
but in the love
written
in their hearts

What do you carry on your journey?
What is written in your heart?

Hebrew 12: 4-15; Psalm 103: 1-18; Mark 6: 1-6

morning
we come to you
anxious
and afraid
from all
we see
demands
beyond
what we
can bear
bitterness
taking root
then
we hear
your words
and know
you are near
not far away
in some
heavenly source
but here
among us
within us
bringing
the peace
we long for

Do you experience God with you?
Do you let God’s grace root out bitterness?
Do you experience God’s peace?

“May your hearts be ever merry!”
Hebrews 12: 1-4; Psalm 22: 26-32; Mark 5: 21-43

in His Presence
we arise
no longer
afraid
letting go
of our burdens
we feel
His healing
power
eyes fixed
on love
we see
ourselves
and draw
life
for our soul

On what are your eyes fixed?
What do you see?

Hebrew 11:32-40; Psalm 31:20-24; Mark 5:1-20

taking refuge
in the shelter
of God’s Presence
the demons
flee
at the sight
and sound
of His word
our hearts
take comfort
and hope
in a God
of Goodness
who will show us
the way
to a unity
and righteousness
we have yet
to see
or understand

Where do you take refuge?

Jeremiah 1:4-5;17-19; Ps 71: 1-6, 15-17, Cor 12: 31-13:13, Luke 4:21-30)

from my mother’s
womb
you knew me
bringing me forth
to light
my rock
you give
all
that will sustain me
the way
that surpasses
all others
love that is patient
love that is kind
not rude
not self-seeking
not prone to anger
or brooding
love
that rejoices
in truth
love
with no limit
in trust
in hope
and endurance
never failing
when all else
passes away
we shall
prevail
and be delivered
from imperfection
face to face
with love

Can you imagine seeing Him face to face?
Where is the face of God?
How does His way surpass all others?

Mal: 3:1-4; Psalm 24: 7-10; Hebrews 2: 14-18; Luke 2:22-40

who can endure
the day
of His
coming
whose
heart
and mind
have not
been touched
by some Truth
of our Being
Holy Spirit
upon us
we know
Him
when
He comes
and embrace
all He brings
we are filled with
gratitude
and love

How do you know Him when He comes?

Hebrews 10: 32-39; Psalm 37: 3-40; Mark 4: 26-34

we scatter
seeds
in joy
and hope
not knowing
what will come
we labor
in faith
sustained
by the One
who knows
the harvest
never knowing
what suffering
or challenge
may come
even to
our faith
over and over
our daily bread
is to choose life
for ourselves
for others
knowing all
love
and justice
is gift

What challenges your faith?
What calls you to Life?
