Daniel:1-6,8-20; Daniel 3:52-56; Luke 21:1-4

from our wealth
and poverty
we give everything
withholding
nothing
from the God
who gives us
All
knowing
that all we have
is for a Glory
greater
than our own
a Love
a Light
for All

What do you give?

Christ the King

2 Samuel 5: 1-3; Psalm 122: 1-5; Col: 1: 12-20; Luke 23: 35-43

bone and flesh
first born
of all
we become
new
in Him
things visible
and invisible
thrones
dominations
principalities
and powers
are reconciled
we rejoice
in the house
of the Lord
far from mocking
far from killing
gone from death
we are
remembered
in Him
as peace
flows through
the blood
of the cross
we rise
and embrace
paradise
with Him

Can you see peace flow through the cross?
Can you see your being through Him?
Can you see with His light?

Mc 6:1-13; Psalm 9:2-6, 16,19; Luke 20: 27-40

from our grief
we cry out
and are touched
and saved
by a Love
greater
than our imaginings
a Love
that makes us
worthy
in the God
of the living
we give thanks
we give praise
we sing
a song of joy

What makes you worthy?

Luke 19:45-48

where
is truth
to be found
in these days
of story spinners
and money changers
cluttering
the sacred temples
of our minds
and hearts
changing
the sweetness
of God’s word
into bitter prophecy

in the stillness
we wait
in a cloud of unknowing
our soul
begging the silence
for the voice
of Truth

Who will clear our hearts and minds and soul for Truth?
What is Truth?

Luke 19:41-44

we are
weeping
with you
Jesus
as you look
over the city
that cannot find
its way
to peace
that does not see
the hour
of its visitation
calling harm
upon itself
with war
and division

yet we wait
standing our ground
with you
in God’s enduring love
with songs
of praise
and hope
and faith
undiminished

Do you weep with Jesus over the city?
Do you stand in God’s love with hope and faith?

2Mc 7:1,20-31; Psalm 17:1-15; Luke 19:11-28

faithful
to God’s law
of love
we turn
from all
that would bring harm
in awe
of the author
of life
we cry out
for justice
for the poor
and the hungry
that their body
and soul
be fed
and that tyrants
be turned away
from power

How do you remain faithful to God’s law of love?

2Mc6:18-31; Psalm 3: 2-3,4-5,6-7; Luke 19:1-10

lost
and afraid
we come
to meet Him
who is full
of Wisdom
and healing
for our soul
He calls us
coming into
our heart
and home
to save us
by facing
the darkness
within us
that can overtake
and destroy
shining the Light
of Truth
of God’s
immeasurable Love

Has He come into your darkness?

1Mc1:10-15,41-43,54-57,62-63; Psalm 119:53,61,134,150,155,158; Luke 18:35-43

Jesus you say
“What do you want me to do for you?”

I say
teach me
the love
you have–
that extends
even to enemies
a love
that feels
so impossible
as the world
is filled
with terror

and that
I may see
with your eyes
of Wisdom
that cuts though
all deception
to Truth

What do you want me to do for you?

Malachi 3:19-20; Psalm 98: 5-9; 2 Thess 3: 7-12; Luke 21: 5-19

by patient
endurance
you will
save your lives
take care
not to be misled
by war and insurrection
earthquake
famine and plague-
wait upon
the Lord
work quietly
for justice
sing praise
sing joyfully
let the sea
and what fills it
resound
let the world
and those who dwell in it
clap their hands
let the rivers
and the mountains
shout with them for joy-
for those who fear
His name
there will arise
the sun
of justice
with its healing rays

Are we impatient in the Lord’s coming?
Are we misled by the ways of the world?
Can we endure in our faith?

Wisdom 18:14-16; 19:6-9; Psalm 105: 2-3,36-37, 42-43; Luke 18:1-8

we pray always
without becoming weary
we persist
with patience
knowing
that love
and justice
will come
we live within
the courage
and confidence
of Faith
given
as God’s gift
and grace

Where will God find faith on the earth?
