Mark 5:21-43

through
the eyes of God
equal in love
and being
“those who have much
do not have more
and whoever have little
did not have less”
and in awe
we reach out
in our affliction
knowing one touch
one word
can heal
bringing all of our suffering
all of our loss
to an end
we believe
and live in
His words
“do not be afraid
just have faith”

Has your faith saved you?

 Mark 5: 1-20

healed
of his tormenting
spirits
the man
went off
and began
to proclaim
what Jesus
had done
for him

What has Jesus done for you?

Mal 3:1-4; Psalm 24:7-10; Hebrews 2:14-18; Luke 2:22-40

we wait
in the temple
of our hearts
for the messenger
the promised one
revealed
by the Holy Spirit
who will fulfill
our hearts desire
for love
and peace

even as our hearts
are pierced
we endure
the day
of His coming
through mercy
the way a brother
and sister comes
to us
in love

What has the Holy Spirit revealed to you?

2Samuel 12:1-7a, 10-17; Psalm 51:12-17; Mark 4:35-41

we see
who we are
through wisdom’s mirror
in need
of a renewed spirit
we pray
for a willing spirit
to sustain us
and bring back
our joy

caught
in the storm
we are tossed
and turned
by our fears
and anxiety
crying out
we hear
“Be still”
and all that seemed
beyond us
that is beyond us
is calmed

facing all
with God
we learn
mercy
and grace

What has taught you mercy and grace?

Mark 4:26-34

one seed
for good
or evil
planted
grows
through
the mystery
of its being
and plan
bearing
its fruit
and consequence
for life
or death
one a living branch
supported life
and beauty
the other
in need
of mercy

What seed have you planted

Mark 4:21-25

rousing
one another
to love
and good works
we allow
God’s light
to shine through us
using His infinite love
and generosity
as our measure
in all that we do
we live with faith
courage
gratitude
and compassion
forgiving everything
for God’s sake

What is your measure?
What is God’s measure?

2Samuel 7:4-17; Psalm 89:4-5,27-30; Mark 4:1-20

seed sown
in the dark
rich soil
of God’s love
grows
deep roots
into God’s mystery
nourished
by His word
showered
by the clear waters
of faith
drawn
to the Light
of Presence
one with
God’s breath
we bear
God’s fruit
of justice
mercy
and love

Do you have deep roots into the mystery of God’s love?

Mark 3: 31-35

no sacrifice
no law
can replace
God’s will
God’s love
of all
written
in flesh
and blood
in hearts
alive
beating
and breathing
a common
Good
in our humanity
and divinity
In Christ
brothers
and sisters
mothers
and fathers
we walk humbly
with a song
of joy
on our lips

Do you see love as God’s will for you?
What is love?

Mark 3:22-30

Holy Spirit
word of life
making all things new
a song
arises
from our heart
and soul
as we experience
the gifts
of your ways
love
joy
peace
generosity
patience
faithfulness
self-control
we live
within the power
of your being
that sets things right
no one can deny
your Presence
and live
for you are life
itself

Do you live within the power of the Holy Spirit?
How do you know?

Isaiah 8: 23-9:3; Psalm 27; 1 Cor 10-17; Mt 4:12-17

united in mind
judgment and anguish
have taken wing
streams of light
beam into
our darkness
bringing joy
to a land
of gloom
he calls us
we follow
to dwell
in the house
of the Lord
gazing on
loveliness
we are
completed
in God’s love
the yoke
of our burden
is lifted
the rod of taskmaster
smashed
making way
for the risen
Light

Do you unite yourself to the new life he brings?
Do you feel your burden lifted?
