Acts 17:15,22-18:1; Psalm 148: 1-2, 11-14; John 16:12-15

from One
we are made
the human race
to dwell
among
all that is
in the Love
that breathes us
day to day
demanding
only that we know
who we are
giving up
the idolatry
of things
of our own hands
seeing
and hearing
the voice
of our creator
living in God’s justice…
God’s love
of All

Have you given up the idolatry of things?
How do you live in the created world?

Acts 16:22-34; Psalm 138: 1-8; John 16: 5-11

even as grief
fills
our heart
and prison
surrounds us
we come
to know
a greater love
a greater freedom
than the world
can give
a Presence given
a Spirit that informs
as love is given
and received
we are strengthened
and give thanks

When you called out to God were you answered?
How are you informed by the Holy Spirit?

Acts 16:11-15; Psalm 149: 1-9; John 15:26-16:4

our hearts
opened
by inspired word
and prayer
we are touched
by the Spirit of Truth
our advocate
in times
of need
feeling God’s delight
we are filled
with a song of joy
turning
our minds
and hearts
to all that is Good

How can you keep you heart opened to God’s word?
How can we keep our minds and hearts open to goodness?

Acts 8: 5-8, 14-17; Psalm 66; 1 Peter 3: 15-18; John 14: 15-21

not left
as orphans
an advocate
is given
as the Holy Spirit
is revealed
we cry out
to God
with joy
we see
our Life
in God
in the realm
of Spirit among us
through which our hearts
and the earth
are renewed
with Love

How is the Holy Spirit revealed to you?
Do you hear the earth cry out to God with joy?

Acts 16:1-10; Psalm 100 1-5; John 15:18-21

calling
of mystery
Holy Spirit
of God
guiding
from chaos
to calm
from darkness
to light
prompting
our doing
our speaking
our being
to Goodness
and loving-kindness
the song of morning
welcomes His word
lyric to our melody
that cries out
to God with joy

What song of morning welcomes you?

Acts 15: 22-31; Psalm 7: 8-12; John 15: 12-17

I will
wake
the dawn
with song
and praise
for the love
that lights
each day
beyond
the world’s burden
that disturbs
i turn to
the peace
of mind God gives
and the love
that breathes us
to life
for this
we lay down
our lives
for each other

Do you wake the dawn with song and praise?

Acts 15:7-21; Psalm 96: 1-10; John 15:9-11

finding
our answer
in God’s love
we open
our hearts
to each other
and leave our fears
behind
as we say
yes
to creation
and all
that it gives
working
tirelessly
for Life
daring
to sing
a song of joy
into life’s sorrows

Do you dare to sing a song of joy?

Acts 15:1-6; Psalm 122:1-5; John 15: 1-8

to what
vine is it
that we cling
branch
of Christ
bearing
a fruit
that is not
our own
but some higher purpose
and power
that prunes
all unworthiness
to create
a greater good
sensing
our nothingness
alone and lost
we find
unity
in God’s
growing love

How do you experience yourself as a branch of God’s love?
What is the fruit of God’s love in your life?

Acts 14:19-28; Psalm 145:1-21; John 14:27-31

do not
let your hearts
be troubled
even as hardship
disease
and death
are at your door
for God
is with you
offering peace–
a peace
the world
cannot give

How do you hear these words?
Do you take them to heart?

Acts 14:5-18; Psalm 115: 1-4,15-16; John 14:21-26

His word
coming
as Advocate
alive
and working
through
our minds
and hearts
we follow
God’s commands
as Wisdom
testimony
to Truth
we have
all we need
as each breath
is a welcoming
to God’s love

How do you receive God’s word?
