Nothing is more practical than
finding God, than
falling in Love
in a quite absolute, final way.
What you are in love with,
what seizes your imagination, will affect everything.
It will decide
what will get you out of bed in the morning,
what you do with your evenings,
how you spend your weekends,
what you read, whom you know,
what breaks your heart,
and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.
Fall in Love, stay in love,
and it will decide everything.

Luke 6:6-11

we stretch
out our hand
and are healed
by the one
in whom
all the
treasures
of wisdom
and knowledge
are hidden
who would
save life
rather
than destroy it
we are
brought
together
in love
chosen
to make
manifest
the light
of the Christ
in us
laboring
and struggling
with His power
working
within

Do you experience the power of Christ in you?

Ezekiel 33:7-9; Psalm 95:1-2, 6-9; Romans 13:8-10; Mt 18:15-20

with an open heart
the watchman
waits
and listens
for a word
of truth
from God
then proclaims
what is heard
from the law
of love…
we are to owe
nothing
but love
to one another
seeking
each other’s good
and singing
joyfully
with gratitude
to our creator

Do you listen for Truth with an open heart?
Do seek the good of another?
Do you owe only love?

Col 1:21-23; Psalm 54:3-8; Luke 6: 1-5

not bound by law
but by love
we are reconciled
to God
all is sacred
and held
in reverence
firmly
grounded
in faith
as we persevere
keeping
all hope
in the Gospel
where
every creature
under heaven
preaches
the Good News
of God’s love

Do you see the sacredness of all God’s creation?
Are you bound by law or God’s love?

Col 1:15-20; Psalm 100:1-5;Luke 5:33-39

we sing
joyfully
and serve
with gladness
as love
is among us
reconciled
through
His cross
we are
made new
through
a love
a Presence
that holds
all things
together
in a kindness
that endures
forever

How have you been made new?
Do you serve with gladness?

Luke 5:1-11

casting our nets
into deep waters
we see
His goodness
and love
we leave
everything
and follow
singing
praise
strengthened
with patience
endurance
and joy
we share
the news
of God’s will
God’s love
of all
and are
delivered
from darkness
no longer
afraid

Have you cast your net into the deep waters?
Have you left everything to follow?

Col 1:1-8; Psalm 52:10,11; Luke 4:38-44

seeing
the way
allowing all
to be
in this present moment
with God’s healing touch
we release all
that keeps us
bound to sickness
fear
and death
we live
giving thanks
every moment
for life

Do you allow God’s healing touch?

1 Cor2:10-16; Psalm 145:8-14; Luke 4:31-37

what is there
about His word
that holds
such authority
drawing out
the demons
of our heart
and expelling them
we are given
a new life
in the spirit
that scrutinizes
even the depths
of God
amazed
by the goodness and kindness
mercy and compassion
that we behold
we follow

What demons are drawn from your heart?
Do you behold the great mercy of God?

Luke 4:16-30

anointed
by God’s love
He brings
good news
that opens
our eyes
and sets us
free
no longer
captive
and oppressed
we sing
a new song
to the Lord
the heavens
are glad
the earth
rejoices
the sea
and what fills it
resounds
the trees exult
as we hear
of God’s justice
God’s love
of All

Are you overwhelmed by God’s love?

Jeremiah 20: 7-9; Psalm 63; Romans 12: 1-2; Mt 16: 21-27

our hearts
a burning fire
shut up
in bones
thirsting
for God’s will
we present
ourselves
as a living
sacrifice
to be
transformed
renewed
by what
is good
and perfect
letting nothing
or anyone
stand
in our way
we give all
to follow
this love

Do you feel the fire of God’s love in your bones?
Do you let your very self be transformed by it?
