Mark 4:1-20

seed sown
in the dark
rich soil
of God’s love
grows
deep roots
into God’s mystery
nourished
by His word
showered
by the clear waters
of faith
drawn
to the Light
of Presence
one with
God’s breath
we bear
God’s fruit
of justice
mercy
and love

Do you have deep roots into the mystery of God’s love?

2Timothy 1:1-8; Psalm 96:1-3,7-10; Mark 3:31-35

stir into flame
the gift of God
love of all
in one family
not given a spirit
of cowardice
but of the power
of love
and self-control
bearing any hardship
with God’s strength
we are God’s will
for love
singing love’s song
proclaiming good news
giving back
to life
what have been
given to us

How do you give God’s love?

The Conversion of St. Paul
Acts 22:3-16; Psalm 117:1,2; Mark 16: 15-18

living
in our delusions
we separate
and persecute
thinking we know
what is right and good
until the Light
of Grace
that reveals
the Truth
of Oneness
and Love
challenges
everything
we have ever believed
setting us free
for new life
in peace
and harmony
in God’s Love

This is the Good News.

What do you hear?

Jonah 3:1-5, 10; Psalm 35:4-9; 1Cor 7:29-31; Mark 1:15

remembering
the kindness
compassion
and goodness of God
we retreat from the darkness
to His calling
turning from ways
that cause division
to see one another
anew
in the eyes
of purest Love
where all things
are possible
justice reigning
in God’s love
for all

Have you experienced the purest love of God?
How does it change how you see?

Heb 9:2-3; 11-14; Psalm 97:2-9; Mark 3:20-21

living not
in the expectations
of others
He was labeled
insane
“out of His mind”
as crowds gathered
to hear His words
and accept His healing

Who among us today
is labeled
in the same way
as our minds and hearts
strain to hear some Truth
amidst the lies, deceptions
and delusions of the day

If He is “out of His mind” where did His mind go?
What voice draws you to Truth and healing?

Heb 8:6-13; Psalm 85:8-14; Mark 3:13-19

a new covenant
a law written
upon our hearts
that speaks
of justice and truth
kindness and mercy

what do you hear
as you open
to this God within
riding the waves
of your thoughts
and prayers
in turmoil
and calm
an ever present calling
to a Goodness
that often feels
just beyond our reach

How does one learn the language of the soul?

Hebrews 7:25-8:6; Psalm 40:7-17; Mark 3:7-12

law written
within my heart
I press my ear
to the sound
of its beating
feeling the pulse
of its steady rhythm
set to the pace
of God’s existence
in me
marveling at
its faithfulness
to my day to day
setting the flow
and pace
of love
in my life
enduring
and pressing back
against all
that would break it
or harden it
thankful
for this sacred chamber
and holy place
of prayer in me

What is written in your heart?

Mark 3: 1-6

we come
before you
on our Sabbath
to remember
who we are
made for goodness
and healing
with withered hand
outstretched
knowing
our need
you heal us
and we feel
the power of Life
holy splendor
falling on us
like the dew
the power
of a life
that cannot
be destroyed
one in you
without beginning
or end

Do you feel the power of God’s life and love?
Have you outstretched your hand to Him?

Hebrews 6:10-20; Psalm 111:1-10; Mark 2:23-28

reaching
beyond
the veil
we find
an anchor
for our soul
within a realm
of blessing
and hope
a refuge
from all we are
reluctant to face
inspiring courage
and strength
to say
and do
what we must
to insure
a place of love
compassion
and care

Where is the anchor for your soul?

Heb 5:1-10; Psalm 110-1-4; Mark 2:18-22

beset by weakness Himself
He knows our own
waiting patiently
and with mercy
as we learn love arisen
from our suffering
we begin
a new story
with eyes and ears
set on Goodness
creating the peace
we long for
with a listening
attentive heart

To what do you listen?
Where do you find goodness?
