Hebrews 3: 7-14; Psalm 95; 6-11; Mark 1: 40-45

today
is the day
we hear
His voice
and harden not
our hearts
to His words
of life and love
and healing touch
we encourage
one another
in faithfulness
that deceit
may not enter
and lead us
astray
no longer weary
and anxious
we enter
His rest
and feel
His support
and peace

Do you hear His voice today?
Have you entered His rest?

Heb 2:14-18; Psalm 105:1-9; Mark 1:29-39

with all simplicity
He saw
a need
and reached out
His hand
healing
what needed
to be healed
teaching
what needed
to be taught
sharing
a life
that came to Him
through prayer
fulfilling
His purpose
in God‘s love

How do you fulfill your purpose in God?

Hebrews 2:5-23; Psalm 8:2-9; Mark 1:21=28

by some
authority
He speaks
and the demons
that know Him
flee
and the healings come

who is this author
of God’s power
emergent one
of love
and justice–
that we know
when we see Him–
who we find
after seeking–
who demands All
as there is nothing
outside of God’s love

By what authority do you live?
Do you see all as embraced by God’s love?

Heb 1:1-6; Psalm 97:1-9; Mark 1:14-20

confronted by lies
on every side
we seek our hearts
for Truth
and find Him
the One
who claims the Spirit
and a time
of fulfillment
called to follow
we open our minds
and hearts
to the aliveness
and adventure
of this call
as heaven
proclaims the justice
of God’s love
of all

Where do you turn for Truth?
What calls you to life in the Spirit?

Mark 1: 7-11

the skies open
and a Holy Spirit
descends
on a beloved son
from a God
well pleased
he comes to me
as I wait
in anticipation
wondering
and waiting
for good news
of peace-
grasping
my hand
with no
partiality
He forms me
opening
my eyes and
setting me free
in the light
of His justice
His love for all
I share in
His good works
of blessing
and
healing

Do you accept the grasp of His hand?
Do you accept the blessing of peace?

1John 5:14-21; Psalm 149:1-6,9; John 3:22-3-

according
to God’s will
we ask
and receive
what is already ours
love
joy
peace
patience
faith
self-control
gentleness
kindness
goodness
in our Life
in his Truth
and Holy Spirit
we sing
and praise
and dance
with joy
for the Love
we have found

Do you see that what you ask for you have?

1John 5:5-13; Psalm 147: 12-15, 19-20; Luke 5:12-16

broken
I seek
healing
and Truth
searching for the One
who can guide my way
through turmoil, violence and chaos-

for the one
whose will
is for my good-
finding Him
in the deserted places

of my mind
I join Him in His prayer
to the God He knows
as love and light
in the silence
I breathe
with the one who breathes me
trusting
even as I doubt

Who do you seek?
Who do you trust?

1John 4:19-5:4; Psalm 72: 1-2, 14-17; Luke 4: 14-22

lead
by the power
of the Holy Spirit
He knew
who He was
child of God
brining us
liberty
sight
and freedom
through God’s love
given to all freely
in justice
we embrace
His commands
as precious wisdom
light
in our darkness
and life giving word

What do you hear in his commandments of love?

1John 4:11-18; Psalm 72: 1-2,10,12-13; Mark 6:45-52

He comes
across the waters
of our raging seas
bringing calm
and perfect love
that drives out
the fears
of our hardened hearts
saving
the poor
and the afflicted
through the work
of God’s hand
in each other

Do you believe that perfect love drives out fear?
How do you experience perfect love?

Memorial of St. John Neumann
1John 4:7-10; Psalm 72:1-2,3-4,7-8; Mark 6:34-44

Presence
of love
in a deserted place
our poverty
and need
exposed
we are seen
in our hunger
and provided
food
by His blessing
dividing
sharing
all that we have
we are nourished
with Love

Are you nourished by God’s presence and love?
