1 Isaiah 49:8-15; Psalm 145: 8-9, 13-14, 17-18; John 5:17-30

music
breaks forth
from the voice
we have heard
gracious and merciful
kind and compassionate
calling us out
of darkness
and death
into the Light
of Love
seeing
our oneness
in God
and each other
all thirst
is quenched
and hunger
satisfied
doing God’s will
of love and care

Do you experience the power of God’s calling?
Love this day with all of your heart.

Ez 47:1-9,12; Psalm 46:2-9; John 5:1-16

waiting
for healing
He will come
and ask
“Do you want to be well?”
What will you say?

waiting
for healing
He will come
and say
“Take up your mat and walk.”
What will you do?

Isaiah 65:17-21; Psalm 30:2-6,11-13; John 4:43-54

looking forward
to the days
of long life
and the joy that comes
with the dawn
when we are saved
from our mourning
and it is turned
to dance
when we see
the Love
that lives
and works among us
clearly
and healing
comes to us
and our children

Do you see Love living and working among us?
Has it changed your mourning to dance?

Samuel 16: 1-13; Psalm 23, 1-6; Eph 5: 8-14; John 9: 1-41

not as man sees
but God
beyond
appearance
into the heart
with the Lord
our shepherd
we shall
not want
and our eyes
shall be opened
to see
beyond
the law
beyond
the Sabbath
beyond
the ritual
to the Truth
the light
awakening us
from sleep
as we pass
from death
to life

Are you awake?
Do you see with His light?
Do you see beyond the law, the ritual and the Sabbath?

Hosea 6:1-6; Psalm 51:3-4,18-10,20-21; Luke 18:9-14

we stand
in opinion
above another
proclaiming
a righteousness
we deem
our own
unaware
it is our humility
that brings us
home
knowing
our frailty
and our need
we open
to God’s presence
and love
Holy Spirit
and guide
we find
our way

Do you see your need?
How do you respond?

Hosea 13: 2-10; Psalm 81: 6-17; Mark 12: 28-34

spirit upon us
like the dewfall
we hear
love God
first
with all
your heart
and mind
and soul
let no strange God
come among you
and take
the love
of neighbor
from you
forgive
and let love
blossom
as freely
as the lilies
casting
as wide
a fragrance
as the cedars
and splendor
of the olive branch

Has a strange God come among you to take the love of your neighbor?

Jeremiah 7:23-28; Psalm 95:1-9; Luke 11:14-23

View Post

today
we hear
His voice
and open
our hearts
singing joyfully
as we know
who we are
in the undivided
love of God
treasuring
the words
of the prophets
and the healing touch
of Christ
living always
in God’s presence
in our heartbeat
and breath

Do you open your heart to God’s voice?

Dt 4: 1, 5-9; Psalm 147: 12-20; Matthew 5: 17-19

He comes
to fulfill
a law
written
in statues
and stone
to one
that lives
in hearts
of flesh
breath
and bone
Spirit
of love
once given
to a chosen few
now
lives in
all

Where does God live in you?

Dn 3:25,34-43; Psalm 25:4-0; Matthew 18:21-35

our contrite heart
we offer
to mercy
as we seek
compassion
and kindness
for ourselves
and others
knowing all love
begins again
in forgiveness
as each day
dawns anew
in God’s light

Do you offer a contrite heart to mercy?
Do you forgive everything?

2Kings 5: 1-5; Psalm 42: 2,3; 43: 3-4; Luke 4: 24-30

blinded
by familiarity
wealth
and power
yet longing
for healing
and thirsting
for the living God
we dare
to enter
our poverty
relinquishing
all
we enter
the light
and love
of God
seeing
God’s face
we are healed
and sing
in our gladness
and joy

Do you dare relinquish all for the mystery of God’s love?
