Romans 11:1-2, 11-12, 15-29; Psalm 94:12-18; Luke 14: 1, 7-11

our feet
are slipping
yet God’s mercy
sustains us
in a love
that is
irrevocable
independent of
our wanderings
or transgressions
or hardened hearts
God gives
a love
that calls
ever deeply
into what remains
true
and lovely
and good
in us
drawing us
from low places
to the Light
of God’s Presence

Does God call deeply into what is true and lovely and good in you?

Romans 9:1-5; Psalm 147:12-15;19-20; Luke 14:1-6

hearing the voice
of Love
we respond
with all
of our heart
and soul
and mind
serving the Goodness
we see
in any way
we can
great and small
all belongs
to the heart
of God

How do you serve the love and goodness you see?

Romans 8: 31-39; Psalm 109: 21-22,26-27, 30-31; Luke 13: 31-35

a certain
knowledge
within
steadfast
our God
with us
through
all things
in a love
that no one
can separate
us from
no distress
no anguish
death
or peril
no present
or future thing
we rest
secure

Do you live in the certain knowledge of God’s presence?

Romans 8:26-30; Psalm 13:4-6; Luke 13:22-30

Spirit
groaning within
searches our heart
knowing
our intentions
and interceding
for good
even as the gate narrows
we are called
to enter
striving
with the strength
of the Holy Spirit
to know
and be known
by God

What voice is your guide?
Do you know God?
Does God know you?

Romans 8:18-25; Psalm 126:1-6; Luke 13:18-21

our faith
a mustard seed
so small
yet planted
in the rich soil
of God’s love
grows
to embrace
God’s love
of all

even as
we groan
through
our labor pains
we rejoice in
the new life
it brings

Do you rejoice in the new life faith brings?

Romans 8:12-17; Psalm 68: 2,4,6,7,20-21; Luke 13:10-17

set free
of our
infirmity
and fear
we stand
in the saving
love
knowing
the Holy Spirit
that bears
witness
with our spirit
informing us
who we are
one in God’s family
caring
for one another
suffering
with one another
rejoicing
with one another

Is your home in God?

Jeremiah 30:7-9; Psalm 126 1-6; Hebrews 5:1-6; Mark 10; 46-52

we want to see
and call out
for pity
from our need
as we feel
the presence
of Jesus near
savior from darkness
bridge to light
chosen
to do great things
for us
remnants
of the lost
we gather
from the ends
of the earth
leaving our weeping
we are consoled
and guided
along brooks of water
on level road
we no longer
stumble
we are dreamers
filled with laughter
filled with rejoicing
we are on our way
healed by faith
we follow

What do you long to see?
Do you feel the presence of Christ?
Has your faith healed you?

Romans 8:1-11; Psalm 24: 1-6; Luke 13:1-9

in this time
of now
one in Christ
we choose
with grace
to walk
with the Holy Spirit
as our guide
bearing
the lasting fruits
of love
and joy
patience
and faithfulness
gentleness
and generosity
creating
the world
of God’s desire
living
in peace

Who is your guide?

Romans 7:18=25; Psalm 119: 66,68,76,77,93,94; Luke 12:25-59

wanting
to do good
we do not
as something
wars within us
yet we are called
to see
in this moment
a wisdom
and knowledge
kindness
and compassion
a goodness
we come to know as
the will of God
written upon
our hearts
it is our delight
as it frees us
and saves us
to do the good
we long to do
in God’s love

Are you willing to do good but do not?
“Why do you not know how to interpret the present time?”
What sets you free?

Romans 6:19-23; Psalm 1:1-6; Luke 12:49-53

in a darkened
cynical
world
His words
set fire
igniting
our imaginations
with a passion
for Life
and Love
and goodness
beyond
what we have
ever known
loving enemies
returning good
for evil
forgiving all
healing all
we are set free
divided by choice
we choose
Life

Where do you find such a love?
