Eph 1:1-10; Psalm 98:1-6; Luke 11:47-54

the song
we sing
is not our own–
written
by the hand
of another
for our hearts
we are touched
by God’s love–
coming
alive
with the Joy
of new life
as we see
a Glory given
a Wisdom
received
as insight
into
the Mystery
of God’s will–
this love
that becomes
our saving
grace

What song do you sing?
What is your saving grace?

Gal:5:18-25; Psalm 1:1-6; Luke 11:42-46

there is no law
when guided by Spirit
whose fruits are
love
joy
peace
patience
kindness
generosity
faithfulness
and self-control
guided away
from hateful
destructive
passions
we are like
a tree
planted
near running water
yielding
our fruit
in due season
turning toward
His Light

Do you live in the freedom of the Holy Spirit?

1Gal 5:1-6; Psalm 119:41-48; Luke 11:37-41

meditating
on God’s law
and commands
the light
of mercy
shines through
we give alms
from a heart
set free
by a faith
working
through love
and experience
God’s living
word
acting
upon the world

How are you set free by God’s word

Gal 4:22-27, 31-5:1; Psalm 113:1-7; Luke 11:29-32

insecure
in our faith
we demand
a sign
turning
ourselves
into slaves
rejecting
the wisdom
of repentance
and the sign of Jonah
condemning
ourselves
to judgement
until we hear
His voice
of freedom
singing

in our soul

What sign do you demand?
What voice do you hear?

Kings 5: 14-17; Ps 98: 1-4; 2 Timothy 2: 8-13; Luke 17: 11-19

listening
to God’s word
and dipping into
God’s flowing waters
we are healed-
seeing ourselves
cleansed
we return
in thanks
blessed with faith
we hold onto
new life
from death
eager for
peace
and the saving power
of love
a song of joy
and praise
breaks
from our lips
at the sight
of justice
revealed
kindness
and faithfulness
remembered

Do you let Him heal your wounds?
Are you grateful for His healing words?
Do you recognize God’s justice as love for all?

Gal:31:22-29; Psalm 105:2-7; Luke 11:27-28

hearing
God’s word
we observe it
and act on it
in our lives
rejoicing
in our faith
in the One
who call all
to return
to their Oneness
in God
Holy Spirit
that sees All
as loved
even in our differences
welcoming
and promising
a home
for our heart

Do you feel the embrace of God’s oneness?

Gal:3:7-14; Psalm 111:1-6; Luke 11:15-26

counting
blessings
as numerous
as the stars
that shine
through our faith
we journey
united
not by law
but love
in a vision
that keeps
the demons
that would divide us
at bay
and embraces us all
in the mercy
of God’s justice

Is your house divided?
What vision unites it?

Luke 11:5-14

asking
we receive
seeking
we find
all that we need
from God’s Holy Spirit
given
freely
for our benefit
and the good
of all
persistent
in prayer
we see
a way
for peace
and love
healing
and forgiveness
in a desperate
world

Do you ask?
Do you seek?
Do you find?

Galatians :1-2,7-14; Psalm 117:1-2; Luke 11:1-4
Thankfulness for the teaching of prayer

each day
given
our daily bread
as word
of the Spirit
guiding us
contrary to ways
that separate us
from God
drawing
heaven to earth
with each breath
we speak
each word
with reverence
and thanks
and ask forgiveness
for our forgetting
and embrace
remembrance

Do you breathe heaven to earth through God’s word?

A Prayer to Know Who We Are
Gal 1:13-24; Psalm 139:1-15; Luke 10:38-42

called
through grace
from our mother’s womb
to know you
as you know us
guiding us
through thoughts
and ways
of our inmost being
bringing to light
the love
in the depths
of our soul
relieving us
from the world’s worry
and anxiety
to live
in what is
essential
your love
of all

How do you experience what is essential?
