Hebrews 4: 1-5, 11, Psalm 78: 3-8; Mark 2: 1-12

paralyzed
we are lowered
by the faith
of friends
into
His Presence
sins
are forgiven
infirmities
healed
we take up
our mat
and walk
home
with complete trust
and faith
in God’s
compassion
and love
we live
in God’s rest

Do you have complete faith in God’s power?
Do you rest in God’s love?

Hebrews 3: 7-14; Psalm 95; 6-11; Mark 1: 40-45

today
is the day
we hear
His voice
and harden not
our hearts
to His words
of life and love
and healing touch
we encourage
one another
in faithfulness
that deceit
may not enter
and lead us
astray
no longer weary
and anxious
we enter
His rest
and feel
His support
and peace

How do you hear His voice today?
How do you experience His rest?

Heb 2:14-18; Psalm 105:1-9; Mark 1:29-39

with all simplicity
and faithfulness
He saw
a need
and reached out
His hand
healing
what needed
to be healed
teaching
what needed
to be taught
sharing
a life
that came to Him
through prayer
fulfilling
His purpose
in God‘s love

How do you fulfill your purpose in God’s love?

Hebrews 2: 5-12; Psalm 8: 2-0; Mark 1: 21-28

unclean
spirit
rebuked
we are amazed
at His authority
that comes from
the love of God
for His people
willing
to suffer
in this love
for us
until
we see
who
we are
sacred
in our creator
brothers and sisters
to one another
given
God’s power
to love
in the Holy Spirit

Do you know who you are?
Do you see your life as sacred?

Isaiah 42: 1-4, Acts 10: 34-38; Psalm 29: 1-10; Mt 3: 13-17

a Spirit
descends
like a dove
and favor
rests
upon
a chosen one
bringer of peace
doer of good
healer of wounds
a voice
calls over the water
glory thunders
as a sky opens
to a beloved
the Spirit of God
blesses the people
with God’s justice
God’s love of all
bringing peace

to our hearts

Do you experience the peace of Christ?
Do you live in and spread the peace of Christ?
Do you see God’s love of all as justice?

Isaiah 60.1-6; Psalm 72:1-2, 7-8, 10-13; Ephesians 3.2, 3, 5, 6; Matt 2.1-12

seeking distant stars
we travel
wanderers
weary of dark
seeking to know
who we are
made in longing
we are needy
poor
as we hunger
for truth
for freedom
oppressed by greed
we know we are more
waiting
longing
watching
biding our time
then other travelers
come
to tell us
the time is here
no longer a distant star
no longer a distant time
the gift has been given
the sight of Him
who inspires
an open heart
we open
to a love
beyond the boundaries
of what we have known
first
God within us
then
among us
in each other
even into the boundaries
of our enemy
“then you shall be
radiant in what you see
your heart shall throb and overflow”

What is your treasure that you would give?

1John5:14-21; Psalm 149:1-9; John 2:1-11

as water
is changed
to wine
we are changed
by His Presence
given
discernment
to know
who is true
and what
is true
we guard
against our instinct
to idols
asking
and seeking all
in the will
of Love

Do you let yourself be changed by His Presence?

1John 3:11-21; Psalm 100:1-5; John 1:43-51

called
to follow
a Love
we do not quite understand
with no duplicity
no boundary
no country
no male or female
no nationality
only with compassion
to lay down
our life
for another–
all the while
being called
to sing
with joy
to its Glory
Goodness
and Kindness

What is this love to which we are called?

1John 3:7-19; Psalm 98:1,7-9; John 1:35-42

we hear
a question
from God
“what are you looking for?”
we answer
“truth”
in a time
that has turned
itself into
deceptions
and lies
each blaming
another
each lost
in their own
wanderings
we hear
“be still”
we hear
“come and see
we hear
“you are found”
we hear
our name
changed

What are you looking for?

1John 2: 29-3:6; Psalm 98: 1-6; John 1: 29-34

a Holy Spirit
descends
upon the one
who will save
with love
showing us
a way
of knowing
we are
not separate
living
in accord
with God’s goodness
we are freed
from the burden
of lawlessness
we sing
joyfully
as all
our hopes
are fulfilled
in the purity
of God’s love

Are your hopes fulfilled in God’s goodness and love?
For what purpose were you born?
