Hebrew 12:4-7,11-15; PS 103:1-2, 13-14, 17-18A; John 10:27

let no bitter root
spring up
and cause trouble
through which
we may be lead
astray
we strive
for peace
with everyone
from a kindness
that is from eternity
Holy Spirit
provider
and guide
of God’s love
this Presence
this ground
of our being
here we take root
and grow deeply
into our faith
resisting all
that would
uproot us

Has a bitter root sprung up in your heart?
How can it be uprooted?

Mark 5: 21-43

in His Presence
we arise
no longer
afraid
letting go
of our burdens
we feel
His healing
power
eyes fixed
on love
we see
ourselves
and draw
healing and life
for our soul

On what are your eyes fixed?
Do you reach out for healing?
Do you reach out in love?

Mark 5:1-20

taking refuge
in the shelter
of God’s Presence
the demons
flee
at the sight
and sound
of His word
our hearts
take comfort
and hope
in the Goodness
of God
who shows us
the way

Where do you take refuge?
How does God show you the way?

Zephaniah 2:3-3:12-13; Psalm 146; 1 Corinthians 1: 26-31; Mt 5: 1-12

seeking
the Lord
seeking
wisdom
we find
what the world
sees
as foolish
lowly
and humble
we know
our need
our blessedness
in hunger
in mourning
in purity
in peace
we turn
from ruin
and enter
the joy
of the
Lord

Where do you seek God?
Where do you seek wisdom?
How do you find blessedness in hunger, in mourning and poverty?

Hebrews 11:1-19; Luke 1:69-75; Mark 4:35-41

called by faith
to a foreign land
we find
our bearings
and guidance
in God
seeking
to build
a new foundation
whose architect
and maker
is God
so that
when the winds come
and the seas roar
we will
not be terrified
or shaken
but found living
in our realized
faith

Jesus asked, “Why are you terrified?
Do you not yet have faith?

Hebrews 10: 32-39; Psalm 37: 3-40; Mark 4: 26-34

we scatter
seeds
in joy
and hope
not knowing
what will come
we labor
in faith
sustained
by the One
who knows
the harvest
never knowing
what suffering
or challenge
may come
even to
our faith
over and over
our daily bread
is to choose life
for ourselves
for others
knowing all
love
and justice
is gift

What challenges your faith?
What calls you to Life?

Hebrews 10:19-25; Psalm 24:1-9; Mark 4:21-25

inspiring
one another
to love
and good works
we allow
God’s light
to shine through us
using His infinite love
and generosity
as our measure
in all that we do
we live with faith
courage
gratitude
and compassion
forgiving everything
for God’s sake

What is your measure?
What is God’s measure?

Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul
Acts 22:3-16; Psalm 117:1,2; Mark 16:15-18

living
in our delusions
we separate
and persecute
thinking we know
what is right and good
until the Light
of Grace
that reveals
the Truth
of Oneness
and Love
challenges
everything
we have ever believed
setting us free
for new life
living
in peace
and harmony
in God’s Love
This is the Good News.

What light do you see
What do you hear?

Hebrew 10:1-10; Psalm 40:2,4,7-10; Mark 3:31-35

we come
as family
one Spirit
of will
to love
in ways
beyond law
and sacrifice
a new song
arising
that the world
has not heard
a justice
not experienced
in weighted scales
and gavels
but drawn
from God’s abundant love

What is the new song you hear?

Hebrews 9:15,24-28; Psalm 98: 1-6; Mark 3:22-30

Holy Spirit
word of life
making all things new
a song
arises
from our heart
and soul
as we experience
the gifts
of your ways
love
joy
peace
generosity

kindness
gentleness
goodness
patience
faithfulness
self-control
we live
within the power
of your being
that sets things right
no one can deny
your Presence
and live
for you are life
itself

Do you live within the power of the Holy Spirit?
How do you know?
