Jos 24:14-29; Psalm 16:1-11; Matthew 19:13-15

with the trust
of children
exuberant
and innocent
we place
our faith
in God
shown to us
through Christ
and His love
forsaking
deceit
and delusion
allowing
what is true
within us
to live
into the path of life

Where do you find Truth?

Jos 24:1-13; Psalm 136:1-3, 16-18; 21-24; Matthew 19:3-12

entering
a promised land
we did not build
or till
eating the fruits
we did not plant
we see
the gift
we are given
a Presence
within God’s Presence
learning
an unearned
faithfulness
of an unearned love
amazed
and blessed
by who we are
in God

Do you see the gift that you are?

Jos 3:7-17; Psalm 114:1-6; Matthew 18:21-19:1

living
in God’s mercy
we learn
to forgive
over and over
as we leave
our ignorance
and enter
God’s slowly
revealing truths
of infinite love
that opens doors
in our minds
and hearts
to another way
forgetting
the past
and embracing
God’s ever presence

How do you forgive everything?
How do you live in God’s presence?

Dt. 34:1-12; Psalm 66: 1-8, 16-17; Mt 18:15-20

souls on fire
we are
formed together
in community
we hear
the call
of divine love
and respond
bringing all
to God
for reconciliation
knowing
God is always
in our midst
leading us home

Do you hear the call of divine love?
Do God call you into community?

Luke 1:30-56

our souls
proclaim
the greatness
of the Lord
our Spirit
rejoices
in God
our savior
who offers
mercy
and strength
filling
all of our needs
helping us
never forgetting
His promise
we feel the Light
of His love
within us
leaping up
for joy

How do you experience God’s light within you?
Does you Soul proclaim the greatness of the Lord?

Dt 10:12-22; Psalm 147:12-20; Matthew 17:22-27

in loving
and serving God
with our whole heart
our whole soul
our whole mind
and loving
our neighbor
as ourselves
we fulfill
life’s purpose
for us
seeing within
and without
God’s goodness
creating life
as it was
called to be

How do you serve God’s love?

Kings 19:9-13; Psalm 85: 9-14; Romans 9: 1-5; Mt. 14: 22-33

tiny
whisper
we hear
you

the soft
kiss
of peace
and justice
for those
who
walk
the waters
fearlessly
in buoyed
faith
towards
the Christ
who waits
calming
the storms

struck
with belief
in the power
of His presence
we are saved

Are you buoyed by your faith?
Do you sink in your fear?

Dt 6:4-13; Psalm 18:2-4, 47, 51, Matthew 17:14-20

your mustard seed
of faith
grows
until it fills
all
of your world
air
and breath
earth
and sky
tree
and field
all
that you are
all
that will ever be
the mountain
is moved
healing comes
love
is revealed

Do you have even a mustard seed of faith?
What mountain has it moved?

Dt. 4:32-40; Psalm 77:12-21; Matthew 16:24-28

from
the midst
of fire
the white heat
of His voice
call us
to remember
who we are
in God’s wonder
and power
and fix it
in our hearts
to follow
the one
who will
lead us
and our children
home
to peace

Have you heard His voice in the midst of fire?

Feast of St. Lawrence
2Cor 9:6-10; Psalm 112:1-9; John 12:24-26

generously
we sow
the seed
given
dying
as a grain
of wheat
to an old life
to be born
again
into
a new life
where
the light
of the Holy Spirit
shines
and we follow
a way
we know
as Truth
built
on the
steadfast heart
of God’s love

Do you sow your seed generously?
Are you a cheerful giver?
