Genesis 22:1B-19; Psalm 115: 1-9; Mt 9:1-8

tested
in the extreme
we take all we love
in sacrifice
to the God of love
who calls us
living
in trust
that knows
no boundaries
we are ill equipped
for this depth
we question
and doubt
only to be shown
greater mercy
compassion
and love
given to heal
given to share

To what forgiveness is God calling you?
To what sacrifice?
To what freedom?

Genesis 21:8-20; Psalm 34:7-13; Matthew 8:28-34

demons
cry out
to the one
who knows them
looking
for a way

demons expelled
we are free
to live our life
without distress
in the arms
of angels
to guide us
to the love
we most desire

seeking God
we learn that we have
all we need
and live in God’s desire
for our Good
and the Good of all

Have you been set free?

Genesis 19:15-29; Psalm 26: 2-3; 9-12; Matthew 8:23-27

living
in the terror
the the raging sea
we cry out
for help
He comes
with a word
of peace
calming
every fear
challenging
our faith
our heart
and soul
searched
and tested
for mercy
and love
we are called
to walk ahead
with courage
never looking behind

Who answers when you cry out in fear?
Are you calmed by God’s presence?
Do you have the courage to leave the past behind?

Ephesians 2:19-22; Psalm 117:1,2; John 20:24-29

greater than
our need
to touch
and see–
our faith
lives beyond
our concepts
and concrete notions
into a realm
that calls for
a complete surrender
into the unknowing
allowing the Truth
of Christ’s completeness
to be seen
revealing
the dwelling place
of God
working through
the Holy Spirit
for our good
and the good of all

Are you blessed to have not seen but believe?
How do you experience God’s healing love?
Where do you place your trust and hope?

2Kings 4:8-11,14-16; Psalm 89:2-3,16-19; Romans 6:3-11; Matthew 10:37-42

loving God
above all
we find the source
of our Being
from where
all our life
flows
love
joy
peace
generosity
kindness
gentleness
truth prevailing
against all darkness
deception
and delusion
we remain firm
and sing the goodness
of the Lord
our strength
and our shield

Who is the source of your Being?
How do you live from the source of your Being?

Genesis 18:1-15; Luke 1:46-55; Matthew 8:5-17

our spirit
rejoices
as our soul
proclaims
the greatness
of the Lord
God our savior
letting go
of all that burdens
that imprisons us
as our faith
in His healing love
restores us
we arise
and tend
to a world
in need
with joy

Does your soul proclaim the goodness of the Lord?
Does your Spirit rejoice in God your Savior?

Matthew 8:1-4

reaching out
our hand
to the one
who invites us
into a love
of healing
and grace
we find ourselves
cleansed
and renewed
from all that keeps us
away from faith
in the holy presence
that surrounds us
even in these trying times
we are buoyed
by God’s great love

How are you sustained in these trying times?

Matthew 15-16

Jesus asks…
Who do you say I am?

Who do you say he is?
How does that guide your life?

Genesis 15:1-18; Psalm 105:1-9; Matthew 7:15-20

aligned
with God’s grace
we bear
the fruit
of God’s Goodness
wary
of false prophets
wolves
in sheep’s clothing
we keep
our eyes fixed
on the one
who keeps
His covenant
and shows us
the way
through our anxiety
to the peaceful way
of Truth

How does God show you the way through your anxiety?
What is your daily bread?
How do you bear God’s fruit?

Genesis 13:2-18; Psalm 15:2-5; Matthew 7:6,12-14

where is
the narrow gate
constricted road
that leads
to life
some cross
that calls us
through
its mysterious way
some mystical
birth canal
where we are
nourished
in God’s womb
then expelled
into the Light
of Knowing
spiritual senses
ignited
we live
in Heaven’s realm
of Love
tasting
and seeing
God’s Goodness
of All

Where is your narrow gate?
