Acts 11:19-26; Psalm 87:1-7; John 10:22-30

with firmness
of heart
we put all
of our faith
in God
trusting in
the love
that is calling us
we welcome
every moment
as God’s grace
and let go
of our own programs
for happiness
and listen to
His voice

What are your programs for happiness?
What are God’s?

Acts 11:1-18; Psalm 42:2-4; John 10:11-18

dreams
and visions
open our minds
to all that is
of God
nothing created
is profane
but ill intent–
with our soul
in longing
we hear His voice
and open our lives
to a love
that endures
laid down
and taken up
we enter
the joy
of the living God

Do you listen to your dreams?
Do you hear Gods’ voice?
What is your vision?

Acts 4.8-12; Psalm: 118:1, 8-9, 21-23, 26,21,19; John 3.1,2; John 10, 11-18

building our lives
on this cornerstone
that was rejected
by the world’s power
a foundation
of saving grace
and mercy
laid down
beneath
our crippled lives
we are healed
and hear the voice
of the one
who works
for love
laying down
His life
freely
this is the love
we will follow
no longer trusting
human frailty
and princes
children of God
we know
who we are.

What is it to hear the voice of God?
To hear the voice of Jesus?
How do you follow?

Acts 9:31-42; Psalm 116:12-17; John 6:60-69

leaving all
anxiety
we go forth
into this new life
we have come to know
as the peace of Christ
a serenity
the world cannot give
lifted up
by the Holy Spirit
we are given
all we need
and ask
how shall we return
all the good
that has been shown us?

How shall we return all the good that has been shown us?

Acts 9:1-20; Psalm 117:1,2; John 6:52-59

stopped
in the bright light
of awareness
our life
is questioned
in every possible way
our searching
our relationship
to others
ourselves
to the Holy Spirit
being touched
deeply
by God
by our Being
it is as though
scales fall from our eyes
and we awaken
from a dream
no longer alone
or apart
but a part
of a living
loving
God

How has God shined His light on you?
What do you see?

Acts 8:26-40; Psalm 66:8-20; John 6:44-51

in stillness
His words
come to us
reminding us
of the Holy Spirit
that guides
relieving the anxiety
of day to day
by providing
what we need
strength
courage
fortitude
and peace
keeping our minds
and hearts fixed

on Jesus
we will not lose our way

Do you keep your mind and heart fixed on Jesus?

Acts 8: 1b-8; Psalm 66: 1-7; John 6: 35-40

He brings us
home
to God
our creator
whose will
is for our good
to live
in our
day to day
even as
the world
persecutes
His message
His Spirit lives
and is our strength
our joy

and love

Where does God live in you?

Acts 7:52-8:1;Psalm 31:3-21; John 6: 30-35

what bread
from heaven
will feed us
and give our lives
love and meaning
within the world’s chaos
when hearts
are closed
to the Holy Spirit
and we are lost
to our sacred purpose
killing what would bring life

yet somehow
a stilled heart
opens to the voice
of angels
prophets
and friend
piercing the shield
of our anxiety
and our ignorance
is forgiven
as we are given
refuge
shelter
and new life
with Him

How is Jesus the bread of life for you?

Acts 6:8-15; Psalm 119: 23-30; John 6:22-29

we see
within
our daily bread
into eternity
for our soul’s nourishment
enduring life
giving all
we receive all
in the Truth
revealed

following
His precepts
meditating on
God’s wondrous deeds
our lives are given
meaning
hope
and love
beyond
what we could ever imagine

What do you see within your daily bread?

Luke 24:35-48

“Why are you troubled?
Why do questions arise in your heart?”

We look
We see Him
and let peace
be with us

in our hearts
and minds
He has risen
repentance
and forgiveness
are here
in His name
for all
who can see
a Glory shines
from heaven
over all the earth

“Why are you troubled?
Why do questions arise in your heart?”
