2 Timothy 1: 1-8; Psalm 96: 1-10; Mark 3: 22-30

stir
the flames
of faith
given
by the Holy Spirit
who did not give
a spirit of
cowardice
but of power
self control
and love
once seen
cannot be
denied
we sing
of the glory
passed on
through
generations
living
now
in the deep roots
of God’s love and faith

What keeps your faith alive?
Does your faith have deep roots in God’s love?

Acts 22:3-16; Psalm 117:1,2; Mark 16:15-18

living
in our delusions
we separate
and persecute
thinking we know
what is right and good
until struck by the Light
of Grace
that reveals
the Truth
of Oneness
and Love
challenging
everything
we have ever believed
setting us free
for a new life
living
in peace
and harmony
in God’s Love
This is the Good News.

What light do you see?
Are you challenged by what you see?
How are you changed?

Mark 4:1-20

sower
with the seeds
of God’s word
scattered
into our hearts
are quickly
snatched away
by some evil
scorched away
from having no root
choked
by the world’s
anxiety
yet those that fall
into the rich soil
we have prepared
bear the fruit
of God’s love

How do you prepare your heart for God’s word?

2Samuel 6:12-19; Psalm 24:7-10; Mark 3: 31-35

dancing
before the Lord
we offer
our gifts
to God
and one another
one family
united
in God’s will
for Love

Are you filled with the joy of the Lord?
To whom do you offer your gifts?

Mark 3:22-30

we see
a house divided
and know
it cannot stand
praying
for a unity
that seems to elude us
yet glimpsed by eyes
that reach beyond
self-interest
and willfulness

called by faith
aligned with mercy
conceived in
a Holy Spirit
of wisdom
and truth
a path opens
and forgiveness
showers us
with the grace

to see each other
held
in God’s Holy Spirit
of love

Do you see a house divided against itself?
What will heal the divisions?
Who do you call upon for healing?

Jonah 3:1-5, 10; Psalm 35:4-9; 1Cor 7:29-31; Mark 1:15

remembering
the kindness
compassion
and goodness of God
we retreat from the darkness
to His calling
turning from ways
that cause division
to see one another
anew
in the eyes
of purest Love
where all things
are possible
justice reigning
in God’s love
for all

Have you experienced the purest love of God?
How does it change how you see?

2Samuel 1:1-4, 11-12,19,13-27; Psalm 80: 2-3,5-7; Mark 3:2-21

fed on the bread
of tears
our heart
and minds
are closed
until His love
and healing
find us–
out of His mind
into the mind of God
we know
our place
beloved
and cherished
where neither
life or death
can separate us
from God’s
loving care

Is your mind open to the mind of God?
What do you find there?
Jesus relatives thought he was “out of His mind”.
What do you think?

1Samuel 24:3-21; Psalm 57: 2-4; 6 and 11; Mark 3:13-19

in mercy
we are called
to follow
with the Holy Spirit
emptying
ourselves
of all enmity
anger
and jealousy
forgiving all
for the sake
of God’s love
that has come to us
freely
so that we may give
freely

How do you give and receive mercy?

1Samuel 18:6-9; 19:1-7; Psalm 56:1-3,9-13; Mark 3:7-12

we see
what we need
and follow
freedom
from sin
suffering
and death
as we reach out
to a knowing source
pressing
upon him
wisdom speaks
and we are touched
by the light
of the living God
jealousy
and fears
cease
as we live
in the trust
of God

Are you touched by the freedom of God’s living light?

Mark 3: 1-6

we come
before you
on our Sabbath
to remember
who we are
made for goodness
and healing
with withered hand
outstretched
knowing
our need
you heal us
and we feel
the power of Life
holy splendor
falling on us
like the dew
the power
of a life
that cannot
be destroyed
one in you
without beginning
or end

Do you feel the power of God’s life and love?
Have you outstretched your hand to God?
Have you been healed?
