Acts 16:22-24; Psalm 138:1-8; John 16:5-11

lost in our confusion and grief
we do not hear
His words of consolation
the Advocate
to come
to bring all we need

how easy to be lost
in the world’s chaos
and darkness
yet how beautiful
and amazing
to be found
and opened to God’s love

gratitude for our being
we sing in the Presence of angels
a song heard
by ears tuned
to God’s Glory

What Truth do you hear?

Acts 16:11-15; Psalm 149: 1-9; John 15:26-16:4

our hearts
opened
by His inspired word
and prayer
we are touched
by the Spirit of Truth
our advocate
in times
of need
feeling God’s

strength
and delight
we are filled
with a song of joy
turning
our minds
and hearts
to all that is Good

How can you keep your heart opened to God’s word?
How can we keep our minds and hearts open to goodness?

Acts 15: 1-2; 22-29; Psalm 67: 2-8; Rev. 21:10-13, 22-23; John 14: 23-29

we seek the peace
you offer
the peace the world
cannot give
embracing
your Advocate
the Holy Spirit
offered
as our source
of guidance
ever present
in a divided world
she calls all together
into the Oneness
of God’s love
a Glory
that gives Light
to the world’s darkness
and courage
to our hearts

How does the Holy Spirit guide you?
What is the peace he brings to your heart?

Acts 16: 1-10; Psalm 100: 1-5; John 15: 18-21

Holy Spirit
Of God
guide
of our steps
our coming
and going
we journey
with you
in a joy
and peace
the world
cannot give
though persecution
may come
we remain
faithful
to the love
we have found
through
His name

Does the Holy Spirit guide your life?
Do you live in the joy of the Lord?

Acts 15: 22-31; Psalm 7: 8-12; John 15: 12-17

the dawn
wakes me
with a song
and praise
for the love
that lights
each day
beyond
the world’s burden
that disturbs
I turn to
the peace
of mind God gives
and the love
that breathes us
to life
for this
we lay down
our lives
for each other

Do you wake the dawn with song and praise?
Do you hear Jesus call you friend?

Acts 15:7-21; Psalm 96: 1-10; John 15:9-11

finding
our answer
in God’s love
we open
our hearts
to each other
and leave our fears
behind
as we say
yes
to creation
and all
that it gives
working
tirelessly
for Life
daring
to sing
a song of joy
into life’s sorrows

Do you dare to sing a song of joy?

Acts 15:1-6; Psalm 122:1-5; John 15:1-8

remaining
in God’s love
a branch
on the vine
our life
bears fruit
through
the Holy Spirit
love
joy
peace
kindness
patience
faithfulness
generosity
gentleness
self-control–
through God
we know
who we are

Do you know you are loved and belong to God?

Acts 14:19-28; Psalm 145:1-21; John 14:27-31

do not
let your hearts
be troubled
even as death
or hardship
are at your door
for God
is with you
offering peace–
a peace
the world
cannot give

How do you hear these words?
Do you take them to heart?

Acts 14:5-18; Psalm 115: 1-4,15-16; John 14:21-26

His word
coming
as Advocate
alive
and working
through
our minds
and hearts
we leave
our idols

we follow
the living God
of Wisdom
and Truth
we have
all we need
as each breath
is a welcoming
to God’s love

Where is your God?
How do you receive God’s word?

Acts 14: 21-27; Psalm 145:8-13; Rev 21: 1-5; John 13: 31-35

loving one another
we see
a new heaven
and a new earth
God living
among his people
where death
and sorrow
crying
out in pain
and mourning
will be no more
as we comfort
one another-
far from trials
and persecution
we experience

kindness and mercy
compassion and grace
dwelling among us
in hearts
ready to live God’s word

Can you imagine a world ruled by loved?
What form would it take?
Is your heart ready?
