Jeremiah 11:18-20; Psalm 7:2-3,9-12; John 7:40-53

blinded
by preconceptions
and want
of power
we become
divided
and seek
vengeance
yet the searcher
of mind
and heart
and soul
reveals
a Truth
beyond
our knowing
even as it lives
within
and around us
challenging
and shaping us
putting an end
to malice
and returning us
to Love

Have you been blinded by preconceptions?
What does the searcher of mind and heart and soul reveal to you?

Exodus 32:7-14; Psalm 106: 19-23; John 5:31-47

searching
the Scriptures
we find Him
waiting
to be heard
and loved
into Being
the one
sent
to show us
the Way
leaving behind
our golden idols
we embrace
His burning
shining light

His sacred heart
rejoicing
in the mercy
and compassion
of God’s all-embracing
love

Where do you see God’s mercy, compassion and love?
What do you worship? What is your golden calf?

Isaiah 49: 8-15; Psalm 145: 8-18; John 5: 17-30

answering
God’s call
we pass
from death
to life
knowing
we are more
than flesh
and blood
earth
and stone
but Spirit
that raises us
to love
and kindness
caring
and compassion
restoring
a world
setting us
free
we rejoice!
we give thanks!
we sing!

Have you been set free?

Ez 47: 1-9, 12; Psalm 46: 2-3, 5-6, 8-9; John 5: 1-16

in our affliction
He calls our name
reaching into
the heart
and mind
and soul
of us

He asks
if we want to be well
and in a moment
we are changed
knowing we have met
the healing waters
of God’s love

being seen
being heard
by the source
of all love
and Truth
we can only answer
yes

healed
by his word
we stand
and walk
and follow

Do you want to be well?
Do you stand, take up your mat, and follow God’s love?

Isaiah 65:17-21; Psalm 30:2-13; John 4:43-54

embracing
the promise
of joy
and delight
the sound
of song
and the end
of weeping
we seek
and follow
the Light
of Christ
as a path
of healing
raising us
from a culture
of death
to one of new life

Do you see the Light of Christ?
How do you follow?

Jos 5:9-12; Psalm 34:2-7; 2Cor 5: 17-21; Luke: 15:1-3, 11-32

with days of manna gone
we are invited to the promised land
where the lost
come home
and our feet are fast
with dancing
music fills the air
feasting
and rejoicing
surround us
for those who were dead
have come to life
our soul glories
in this goodness of
new creation
we are radiant
with joy
reconciled
with truest love
we taste and see
God’s goodness
for we sought the Lord
and God answered
delivering us
from our fears

Do you rejoice in the return of the lost?
What is your part in the new creation?

Hosea 6: 1-6; Psalm 5: 3-21; Luke 18: 9-14

standing
in the margins
knowing our frailty
and sin
we ask
for mercy
and a
God of love
hears us-
our soul
once hardened
and dry
is refreshed
with rain
its darkness
flooded
with light
we live
in the grace
of God’s compassion

How do you experience God’s mercy?
How do you experience God’s love?

Hosea 13: 2-10; Psalm 81: 6-17; Mark 12: 28-34

spirit upon us
like the dewfall
we hear
love God first
with all
your heart
and mind
and soul
let no strange God
come among you
and take the love

of yourself
and neighbor from you
forgive
and let love
blossom
as freely
as the lilies
casting
as wide
a fragrance
as the cedars
and splendor
of the olive branch

Has a strange God come among you to take the love yourself and your neighbor?

Jeremiah 7:23-28; Psalm 95:1-9; Luke 11:14-23

today
we hear
His voice
and open
our hearts
singing joyfully
as we know
who we are
in the undivided
love of God
treasuring
the words
of the God
and the healing touch
of Christ
living always
in God’s presence
in our heartbeat
and breath

Do you open your mind to God’s voice?
What do you hear?

Dt 4: 1, 5-9; Psalm 147: 12-20; Matthew 5: 17-19

He comes
to fulfill
a law
written
in statues
and stone
to one
that lives
in hearts
of flesh
breath
and bone
Spirit
of love
once given
to a chosen few
now
lives in
all

Where does God live in you?
