Genesis 3: 9-24; Psalm 90: 2-13; Mark 8: 1-10

hiding
from what
cannot be
hidden from
we are found
by Love
and Compassion
and fed
all that
we need
no longer lost
from who
we are
we see
the Good
from which
we came
and share
what has been
given
we live
in God’s miracle

Where are you?
From what are you hiding?
Where can you hide from God?

Genesis 3: 1-8; Psalm 32: 1-7; Mark 7: 31-37

ears opened
can we hear?
minds
opened
can we know
good and evil
risking
life
not heeding
warning
we push
against
the boundaries
of God
unaware
of our frailty
unable
to accept
our limits
we learn
who we are

Who are you?
Who are we?
What are we to each other?

Genesis 2: 18-25; Psalm 128: 1-5; Mark 7: 24-30

with the wisdom
of no escape
the door
is opened
to the other
the outsider
the persistent
as the One
who loves us
calls us
to Love
and Compassion
for All
driving out
our demons
and setting us
free

Are you persistent in your faith?
For what do you ask?

Genesis 2: 4-9, 15-17; Psalm 104: 1-30; Mark 7: 14-23

in our freedom
we reach
beyond
our grasp
and fall
into a darkness
beyond
our understanding
evil thoughts
murder
greed
malice
arrogance
and folly
surround us
we cry out
in need
for light
and truth
an answer
and a way

And then He comes.

Do you see the light, the truth and the way?
What does He show you?

Genesis 1: 20-2:4; Psalm 8: 4-9; Mark 7: 1-13

God of Life
giving
in abundance
blessing
filling
teeming
with Goodness
giving us
dominion
and freedom
to choose
life or death
to have
reverence for
or to exploit
creation

called into
God’s image
and likeness
Father and Mother
Of care
we choose
Life
and create
“On Earth
As it is
In Heaven”

What do you choose?

Genesis 1:1-19; Psalm 104: 1-12, 24 and 35; Mark 6:53-56

you come
with Light
to heal
as in
first creation
from formless mass
and dark abyss
came Light

water and wind
sky and land
seed and plant
sun and stars
all blessed as Good

we begin again
in your light
in your touch
a new creation
in Love

How do you begin again?

Isaiah 6:1-8; Ps 138: 1-8; 1Cor 15: 1-11; Luke 5: 1-11

we are struck
with awe
by who
you are
and who we are
created
in you
we feel
the smallness
of our being
our undeserving
nature
yet
you call
and lift us
to you

hot ember
on our unclean lips
angel of God
you free
our mouth
for words
of love
you ask
“who shall I send?”
risen
in your love
no longer afraid
we say
“Here I am.
I shall go”

Have you felt the hot ember of God upon your lips?
The awe of God’s presence?
The peace God brings?

Hebrews 13: 15-21; Psalm 23: 1-6; Mark 6:30-34

you came
with Compassion
and saw
our need
drawing us
into your rest
you taught
us God’s will
for Love
author
of Goodness
we follow
and share
the Goodness
that we
have been given
praising
your name
for showing us
the way
to Love

Who do you follow?
How do you share?

Hebrews 13: 1-8; Psalm 27: 1-9; Mark 6: 14-29

we wake
in your
Presence
Lord
and know
you are
our helper
we will
not be afraid
for you
will never
forsake
or abandon us
what
can anyone do
to us
with you
by our side?

Do you awake to His Presence?
Do you experience God as your Light and Salvation?

Hebrews 12:18:24; Psalm 48: 2-11; Mark 6:7-13

sent out
two by two
no money
no food
only
their Faith
and a walking stick
they lived
on the kindness
of strangers
who opened
their hearts
and homes
to Good News
seeing
a new way
to live
not in fear
but in the love
written
in their hearts

What do you carry on your journey?
What is written in your heart?
