Acts 11: 19-26; Psalm 87: 1-3, 4-5, 6-7; John 10: 22-30

hearing
God’s voice
we are filled with
the Holy Spirit
we see
the grace of God
and rejoice
encouraging
one another
to firmness
of heart
working
for love
justice
and mercy
in God’s name

Where do you see the grace of God?
How do you hear God’s voice

Acts 11:1-18; Psalm 42:2-4; John 10:11-18

dreams
and visions
open our minds
to all that is
of God
nothing created
is profane
but ill intent–
with our soul
in longing
we hear His voice
and open our lives
to a love
that endures
laid down
and taken up
we enter
the joy
of the living God

Do you listen to your dreams?
Do you hear Gods’ voice?

Acts 2: 14: 36-41; Psalm 23: 1-6; 1 Peter 2: 20-25; John 10: 1-10

we hear
his voice
we turn
and know
the way
guardian
of our souls
we follow
paths to life
safe
from those
that would
steal our life
we are given
safe passage
verdant pasture
restful waters
even in darkness
we have no fear
for courage
guides us
goodness
and kindness
follow us
passing through
the open gate
we leave
behind
all that is called sin
and enter
God’s will
that is love

Do you hear and know his voice?
Do you follow?

Acts 9:31-42; Psalm 116:12-17; John 6:60-69

raised
from the dead
by the Spirit
of Life
we embrace
the goodness
of God
and share
what we
have been given
being occupied
with good deeds
from God’s
deep source
of love
and abundance

How does the Spirit bring you Life?

Acts 9:1-20; Psalm 117:1,2; John 6:52-59

stopped
in the bright light
of awareness
our life
is questioned
in every possible way
our searching
our relationship
to others
ourselves
to the Holy Spirit
being touched
deeply
by God
by our Being
it is as though
scales fall from our eyes
and we awaken
from a dream
no longer alone
or apart
but a part
of a living
loving
whole

Have you experienced a bright light of awareness of your place in God?

Acts 8: 26-40; Psalm 66:3-20; John 6: 44-51

seeking
an answer
I hear
a name
above all others
that calls
to me
from one
who gives
life to my soul
living bread
eternal vision
Jesus
He says
“follow”
baptized
in his living water
I follow
the Holy Spirit
given as my guide

How do you Understand?
How do we know what you are reading?
Who will instruct you?

Acts 8:1b-8; Psalm 66:1-7; John 6:35-40

fearing
what we do not
understand
we silence
and destroy
what would bring
love and healing
and nourish
our souls
until
our eyes
and ears
are opened
by God’s
tremendous
love

Where do you experience God’s tremendous love?
Will you let your eyes and ears be opened?

Feast of St. Mark
1Peter 5:5-14; Psalm 89: 2-17; Mark 16:15-20

speaking the language
of compassion
forever
we will sing
the goodness
of the Lord
we cast
our worries
upon Him
because He cares
for us
and provides
love and strength
and guidance
for all we must face
in the world
that challenges us
everyday

Do you cast your worries upon the Lord?
Do you speak the language of compassion?

Acts 6:8-15; Psalm 119: 23-30; John 6:22-29

we see
within
our daily bread
into eternity
for our soul’s nourishment
enduring life
giving all
we receive all
in the Truth
revealed

following
His precepts
meditating on
God’s wondrous deeds
our lives are given
meaning
hope
and love
beyond
what we could ever imagine

What do you see within your daily bread?

Acts 2: 14, 22-28; Psalm: 16: 1-2, 7-11; 1 Peter: 17-21; Luke 24: 13-35

hidden
in plain sight
He walks
with us
informs us
guides us
even as we are blind
unknowing
unaware
He sets us on
the path of life
our sojourn
to freedom
in a strange land
delivered
from futility
in one moment
bread raised up
our hearts
and mind open
to the joy
of the Lord
risen
alive
saving us
from all
that leads
to death
even death itself

Do you see him hidden in plain sight?
Do you follow His path?
Have you entered the joy of the Lord?
