beloved disciples
we know
His voice
raised from death
curses
and hate-
our nets casts forth
alone
in darkness
are fruitless
but in His light
and word
we are filled
we follow
unable to be silent
of the one who
has rescued us
and loved us
we risk all
we give all
by holy fires
we are fed
forgiven for denials
we love
and love
and love
feeding
tending
caring
forgiving
even unto death-
our mourning is
changed to dancing
while all creation
praises His love

Do you hear God’s voice in the stranger?
Do you forgive ourselves and turn to love?
Do you praise God at all times?
