we see
a house divided
and know
it cannot stand
praying
for a unity
that seems to elude us
yet glimpsed by eyes
that reach beyond
self-interest
and willfulness

called by faith
aligned with mercy
conceived in
a Holy Spirit
of wisdom
and truth
a path opens
and forgiveness
showers us
with the grace
to see each other
held
in God’s Holy Spirit
of love

Do you see a house divided against itself?
What will heal the divisions?
Who do you call upon for healing?
